We recommend a minimum of R3,000 per month in ad spend. Below that, the algorithm doesn't have enough impressions to optimise effectively. YouTube performance typically improves significantly in months two and three as audience data accumulates.

Can I use the same video I use on Instagram?+

Sometimes. YouTube ads are typically horizontal (16:9), while Instagram Stories and Reels are vertical (9:16). The same footage can often be adapted for both, but you may need to plan for both formats from the initial shoot. We'll flag this during the brief review.
